Mia Overall is a sustainable development and environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategist based in New York City.
Former Strategy Director at Futerra, she has worked with Fortune 500 companies to help them develop groundbreaking sustainability strategies. She has helped help drive responsible business practices by working with clients around the world in the apparel, agriculture, food manufacturing, hospitality and extractive industries.
She has also delivered social impact through UN and World Bank programs focused on agriculture and rural development, financial inclusion and responsible supply chains.
Her greatest passion is that of working towards achieving a more sustainable global food system. She is committed to making healthy food more accessible and shifting consumers towards more sustainable food choices. She has volunteered with NYC Department of Health's "Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables" program as a bilingual educator facilitating food and nutrition workshops in farmers markets and preschools. Finally, she loves coming up with social venture ideas to facilitate healthy, sustainable eating.
Mia has a masters degree in International Economics and Development from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelors degree from Stanford University. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and is excellent at eating in French.
She lives in Brooklyn and enjoys hiking, biking, and cooking.
